Ethical Approval Granted

7 March 2011

The SES Research Ethics Committee has given Favourable Opinion for the collection of human skin samples for human genetic reprogramming research.

The drive towards the use of genetic reprogramming for the creation of cells for “patient specific” therapeutics requires the development of technologies and processes associated with access, isolation, culture and quality control. To this end R biomedical will shortly begin a recruitment of volunteers after its successful application for Ethical review by SES Research Ethics Committee. R biomedical remains committed to working under the highest standards of ethics regarding patient volunteers and their partnership in the drive for new cures.
